Holiday Pics

We had a lovely week in the Scottish Highlands. Have visited a few times now and every time enjoy it a little more than the last. Not sure that's ever possible but it always happens. The beauty of the place is indescribable. I could publish so many more photographs than the ones here but I'll leave you with these for now.

Rolling Snails

I can't hold my hands up to this photograph, the Farmer took it. I don't think I could have got quite so close to a snail.

We have a wonderful array of bluebells in one of our fields. I will take some more pictures this week on a grander scale and give you an idea of how many grow.

Lambs

Progress is very slow. We usually estimate the lambing to start around 20th March but unfortunately the weather was so bad last October when the tups went into the ewes that not much action was taking place. Perhaps, like we humans, they prefer a warm and comfy bed. A cigarette for afters and a stroke of a hairy chest. Okay, so let's forget about the cigarette.

I took this photograph the other week when we had horrid snow. Changing the colours to sepia makes it look like an old image. I am going to experiment more with colours in the future.

Jessica came with us. She often walks with us, i.e. both dogs, myself and occasionally the Farmer. She did get tired though and I carried her for about five mintues until she wanted down.

Start of the Daffodils. They grow in abundance in the garden, have done for many, many years.

Look carefully at the hilly mounds in the background. The Farmer has nicknamed this particular part of our farm land, "Tit-Hill". Men!

A winter hedge, taken with the flower symbol - if someone can tell me the correct name for this symbol I would much appreciate it!

This is our first barley field. As you can see the rain has not been kind to it.

Hi, this is me and this is my newly created blog known as CJs Photographs. It's just an excuse to publish some of my pictures really and to see, for myself as well as to show you, my friends, how much I am progressing in the world of photography. It might be a slow road but I'm enjoying the journey. Hope you do too xx

Our driveway as I like to call it. The Farmer calls it the farm road but Our driveway sounds much posher! You can see the big black lambing shed at the top, situated in the farm yard. Which the Farmer calls the stack yard.
